- Hearing words that start with the O sound
- Seeing written O words
- Practice coloring, cutting, punching, and tying
- Following directions
This craft is easy to prepare and assemble, for your homeschool or classroom. Let me show you how!
How To Make Your Letter “O” Mobile
You will need:
- Scissors
- Gluestick
- Crayons
- Yarn
- Hole Punch
Download the file by clicking on the link or the image below. It is a 2 page PDF.
Print it out (it is best if you print it on cardstock! But it will work on regular paper too).
Have your child color in all the animals and the huge letter “O”.
Next, cut out each element on the dotted lines.
Have the child match the animal to it’s name, and glue the name to the back of it.
Use the hole punch to punch 5 holes on the letter “O” where indicated by the circles, and also punch one hole on each animal (you can choose where).
Using your yarn, tie each animal to the O in one of the holes to make it hang.
Then, tie a loop of yarn through the top hole to make a hanging loop.
Then you are done!
Your child can hang it from the doorknob or wherever they like!
I hope you enjoy this Letter O craft! I love making these and my kids think they are fun too. Let me know if you have any questions!
