Blueberry Dot Marker Counting Activity

Help Sal and baby bear count blueberries with this dot marker coloring activity, free printable!

Blueberries for Sal is one of my all time favorite children’s books, because I relate so much to it! (And I think all kids do!)

We have been loving dot markers lately. We recently did this fun ocean scene dot marker page, and today in the spirit of Blueberries for Sal, I have made this simple dot marker activity too!

The idea is simple and open ended. All you need is some dot markers like DO-A-Dots. Then, have your child stamp blueberries on the bush, in the bucket, and even in the bears hands and count as they go along!

Some other ideas to use this page include:

  • You decide how many dots go where, and have the child make that many.
  • Have the child write the number in each dot after it is dry
  • Have the child add the dots on the bush to the dots in the bears hands, then stamp that many in the bucket

Of course, after the paint is dry, you can also color the rest of the page with crayons.
