Celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with this adorable religious easter craft! This activity is perfect for preschoolers and young kids, and is a fun way to include the story of the empty tomb into your Easter activities!
Every year in the spring I like to come up with some kind of biblical activity for the kids to do to help remind them to true meaning of Easter.
In the past I have done resurrection eggs and scavenger hunts, but today I want to share this fun coloring page I made that is all about the empty tomb!
This project is so easy to put together, and totally free! Let me show you how to do it!
How To Make Your Empty Tomb Slider Craft
Step 1. Download the Free Printable
Click on the image or link below to download your copy of this empty tomb printable. It is a two page PDF. One page has the tomb, and the second page has the sliding stone.
Then, print it out.
Step 2. Color the Pictures
Before you cut, color in all the sheets! I also colored in the “slider” portion of the rock to make it blend in better.
Step 3. Cut Out The Slider
Next, cut out the slider and the stone.
Then cut along the dotted line on the tomb to make a slit.
Then, insert the slider through the front of the paper.
Then you are done! Now you can slide the stone back and forth to open and close the tomb, and see that it is empty inside!
That is all there is to it!
I hope you and your kids enjoy this activity and have so much fun celebrating our risen Jesus this Easter! You could read some verses form John 20 to go along with this craft.
Happy Easter!
