Your kids will love to learn about the letter G and it’s sounds with this educational scavenger hunt!
If your kids are anything like mine then their favorite way to learn is probably by DOing! My first grader and preschooler love to get up and go, move around, explore, and use their hands.
Scavenger hunts are such a fun way to incorporate simple learning concepts into games that don’t feel like learning. I frequently send my kids on letter and number hunts where they search the house for some words, write it down, and bring it back for me to guess!
Another fun idea is this Letter G scavenger hunt. (But of course you can do it with ANY letter). The idea is simple. The kids hunt for each “clue”, and then draw their found item in the box.
The clues or prompts for the letter G printable are:
- Something green
- something giant
- something gross
- something goofy
- something good
- something gentle
- something glossy
- something golden
- something glowing
I love these because they are open ended and subjective which makes it fun and easy for the kids.
Plus they are learning different words (adjectives) that start with G!
We like this game, and hope you do too!
